NyayaChat was created to bridge the gap between legal rights and real access to information. In India, many individuals experiencing domestic violence, workplace harassment, and other forms of abuse are unaware of their legal protections or do not know where to begin. Legal systems can feel overwhelming, intimidating, and inaccessible — especially during moments of crisis.
NyayaChat exists to simplify that first step.
We provide clear, structured, and trauma-informed legal information so users can better understand their rights, explore available remedies, and access verified support resources.
NyayaChat was founded by two cousins: Arya, a teenage boy, and Arundhati, a university student, united by a shared belief that access to legal information should not depend on privilege, connections, or legal literacy.
With the mentorship and guidance of Anand, the father of one of the founders, the idea evolved from a simple concept into a structured and research-driven legal support platform.
What began as conversations about justice, inequality, and the challenges survivors face when navigating the legal system gradually developed into NyayaChat — a trauma-informed legal information chatbot designed to make the first step toward help less overwhelming.
